On Thursday, February 11, Ikaslan Bizkaia participated in the first session of the new international project it has in hand: PRALINE (Promoting Adult Learning in Network), framed within the Erasmus+ program.
This first training meeting focused on the sharing of knowledge and experiences that are carried out in the field of training for adults in the different environments in which the entities and organizations involved in the project operate.
Ikaslan Bizkaia explained the structure and distinctive elements of the Basque training system for this social segment. For its part, FP Empresa explained the main characteristics of the Spanish system and presented an example of good practices with the company Haize Wind Group. The Finnish reality came from The Finish Association for the Development and Vocational Education and Training AMKE . The session ended with a panel discussion where different aspects affecting this sector of education were addressed. This panel was led by Marguerite Hogg, from the Association of Colleges (AoC).
The aim of PRALINE is to foster innovation and internationalization in educational institutions through transnational cooperation to ensure the strengthening of existing transnational networks of adult education providers through mutual learning, peer-to-peer mentoring and capacity building.
It will run until January 2024 in countries such as: Ireland, Finland, Slovenia, Estonia, Spain, France, Turkey, Portugal and Germany, being coordinated from the Netherlands.
The involvement of Ikaslan Bizkaia in PRALINE underlines the commitment that our Association has acquired 25 years ago with the social development of our territory. The exchange of good practices with other countries allows us to continue growing in order to offer new solutions for improvement, adapted to the European reality and that respond to the challenges facing the Basque Country, now and in the future.
