Ikaslan Bizkaia together with all the members of each of the organizations that make up the PRALINE project (Promoting Adult Learning in Networks), as well as a representative of the European Commission, Martina Ni-Cheallaigh, have participated in the second Peer Learning Activity (PLA) of this project.
As we have already mentioned, PRALINE will start in January of this year, 2021. This project is part of the Erasmus+ program. Its objective is innovation and internationalization in educational institutions through transnational cooperation, to ensure the strengthening of existing transnational networks of adult education providers through mutual learning, peer-to-peer mentoring and capacity building. And more specifically, the promotion and consolidation of the network born in 2009 called EUproVET. PRALINE will run until January 2024 in countries such as: Ireland, Finland, Slovenia, Estonia, Spain, France, Turkey, Portugal and Germany, being coordinated from the Netherlands.
This second session was organized by the French organization Union Nationale des Maisons Familiales Rurales d’Education et d’ Orientation, which gave a presentation on the Maisons Familiales Rurales (MFR) and on the general structure of VET in France. Afterwards, working groups were set up to answer if it is applicable in other countries, difficulties, etc. Three cases of good practices were also presented, two from France on the different learning territories and on inclusion, respectively, and one from Slovenia, on education for the European Green Pact through VET providers.
The representative of the European Commission, Martina Ni-Cheallaigh, shared the challenges of the European Union in terms of sustainability, environment and circular economy. She emphasized the European Green Pact, the program for digitization and digital transformation, or the Green Paper on aging. The idea he conveyed is the need to create an economy that serves everyone.
The next PRALINE session, the date of which has not yet been set, is scheduled for September and, if circumstances permit, will be held in person for the first time since the start of the project, with France-La Rochelle or Valencia as the proposed venues. We will keep you informed.
